Hi, I’m Darcy, the organizer behind the Time Out for the Creative Mompreneur.
The idea for a conference just for moms who are also creative entrepreneurs came after looking for a conference to help me grow personally and in my business. There were conferences for many different types of creatives, and there were conferences for creative women, but as someone who is in the trenches of raising kids and trying to run a business, I really wanted to be around and learn from people who are like me: Creative Mompreneurs.
As it turns out, I could not find a single conference that catered to creative mom entrepreneurs. Knowing that there are so many of us (photographers, event planners, artists, bloggers, florists, *insert creative profession*) between San Antonio and Austin, Texas, I decided that if there wasn’t anyone else who had stepped up to provide this I was the person. I know. It’s a little crazy.
While casually mentioning the idea of a conference for mompreneurs I received extremely positive feedback! Other mom entrepreneurs were looking for a connection with others just like them, looking to get away for a day to renew, and also wanted to learn without being overwhelmed with information. These became the pillars that formed the conference and the things that I hope all attendees walk away with.
