Q: What is a Creative Mompreneur?
A: A woman who is also a mom or caretaker of one or more children of any age and who also runs a creative business.
Q: What counts as a “Creative Business”?
A: A creative business owner combines their love for creating with serving others. Examples include (but are not exclusive to) photographers, florists, planners, event venues, bloggers, artists, calligraphers, graphic design artists, bakers, and the list goes on!
Q: What’s included in my ticket?
A: Your ticket admits you to a day full of engaging, informative speakers who will share their tips for surviving and thriving as a Creative Mompreneur, a delicious catered lunch, a calming yoga and meditation session, a Q&A session with other local Mompreneurs, a fun swag bag, coffee and snacks, and plenty of time for networking and making new mom-friends.
Q: Is childcare available?
A: There are tickets available that include childcare (up to two children per ticket), but they will sell out fast so be sure to snag one if you need one.
Q: Who will be watching my kids?
A: Childcare for the event is sponsored by Time Out Sitters. They operate from San Antonio to Austin, and all of their babysitters have current background checks and are CPR/First Aid certified. Childcare tickets are limited so that we can have an appropriate number of sitters for the ages and numbers of children attending.
Q: Are you feeding the kids?
A: We are not providing lunch for the children, but will provide a snack. Please plan to bring a lunch for them, and snacks if they are extra picky or have any allergies or sensitivities.
Q: What’s the dress code?
A: Come comfortable – whatever that means to you! We will be doing yoga, so be sure to bring a change of workout clothes if you’d like to participate. Plus, yoga pants are a mom staple.
Q: What should I bring with me?
A: We’ll provide pens, event workbook, lunch, and snacks. Bring your cell phone for selfies, business cards for sharing and a raffle drawing, and a change of clothes if you would like to participate in our yoga session.
